Jo Bromilow, Director and Founder

Jo’s approach to life and business:

  • Passion is key to success
  • First impressions are not always correct
  • Have faith in yourself and others
  • Have trust and respect for others

Jo is the Director and Founder of J Bromilow CHAMP Enterprises. Early in her career working for several companies she identified the need for small businesses to have access to qualified experts who could look after their bookkeeping and payroll needs without the cost of in-house resources.

CHAMP Enterprises began from Jo’s passion for business finances and a desire to help small to medium business. She qualified in Accounting with the National Institute of Accountants, and her company has gone from strength to strength.

Jo moved to the lower Blue Mountains in 2004, and immediately looked for ways to be involved with the local community. When her children were at childcare age, Jo took an interest in her local after school OOSH. She saw again a need for childcare centres/OOSH centres to have access to qualified and dedicated bookkeeping experts. This led to her specialising in the sector.

Her close work with the centres and their committees evolved into the provision of financial management and compliance practices, providing a ‘one stop shop’ for both the centres and parents.  Her increased involvement in the sector led to ongoing opportunities to ‘give back’.

Jo never takes anything for granted, has always believed in herself and trusted that the universe would provide (of course, with dedication and hard work):  a rewarding career, a great life and family, together with the opportunity to share what she loves doing whilst helping small to medium businesses, just like hers.

Jo’s community involvement includes:

  • Vice President and Secretary, Blaxland Chamber of Commerce
  • Treasurer, Mountains Combined Chambers & Community, and
  • Blue Mountains Representative – Forum for Western Sydney Airport (FOWSA)

She was also the Chairperson for the Bendigo Bank (Blaxland) project which was located in the Blaxland Day and Night Pharmacy, and Treasurer of the Springwood & Districts Basketball Association for three years.
