Jo Bromilow, Director and Founder

Jo’s approach to life and business:

  • Passion is key to success
  • First impressions are not always correct
  • Have faith in yourself and others
  • Have trust and respect for others

Jo is the Director and Founder of J Bromilow CHAMP Enterprises. Early in her career working for several companies she identified the need for small businesses to have access to qualified experts who could look after their bookkeeping and payroll needs without the cost of in-house resources.

CHAMP Enterprises began from Jo’s passion for business finances and a desire to help small to medium business. She qualified in Accounting with the National Institute of Accountants, and her company has gone from strength to strength.

Jo moved to the lower Blue Mountains in 2004, and immediately looked for ways to be involved with the local community. When her children were at childcare age, Jo took an interest in her local after school OOSH. She saw again a need for childcare centres/OOSH centres to have access to qualified and dedicated bookkeeping experts. This led to her specialising in the sector.

Her close work with the centres and their committees evolved into the provision of financial management and compliance practices, providing a ‘one stop shop’ for both the centres and parents.  Her increased involvement in the sector led to ongoing opportunities to ‘give back’.

Jo never takes anything for granted, has always believed in herself and trusted that the universe would provide (of course, with dedication and hard work):  a rewarding career, a great life and family, together with the opportunity to share what she loves doing whilst helping small to medium businesses, just like hers.

Jo’s community involvement includes:

  • President, Blaxland Chamber of Commerce,
  • Treasurer, Mountains Combined Chambers & Community,
  • Blue Mountains Representative – Forum for Western Sydney Airport (FOWSA), and
  • Chairperson — Bendigo Bank (Blaxland) project (now finalised and located in the Blaxland Day & Night Pharmacy)

She was also Treasurer of the Springwood & Districts Basketball Association for three years.

Bookkeeping & Payroll

Our accountant, Lee, has worked in the field of accounting for most of her career and is a valuable asset to CHAMP Enterprises. Lee enjoys a positive relationship with her clients, working to provide personalised solutions. She collaborates excellently with staff and clients to solve challenging accounting issues. Lee gives back to her community by providing her expertise to the not-for-profit groups with whom she is involved. She enjoys spending time with her family and travelling whenever the opportunity arises.

Liesl holds qualifications in bookkeeping and has found her expertise in payroll. Liesl provides a supportive relationship for her clients and their needs. Valuing family and friends beyond all, outside of work hours Liesl loves fitness and spending as much time as she can with her family, especially her  young grandchildren.

Our intern accountant, James, is a wonderful addition to the team and is enormously respected by his peers. His desire to be a forensic accountant brings a much valued perspective to how we approach our work and support our clients. Working with our childcare industry clients will help cement James’s knowledge and skills in this area as his career develops.

Our clients have really warmed to James with his accommodating and approachable manner, which leads to sensible and thorough outcomes.

James is well into his university studies, completing a Bachelor of Applied Finance with a Bachelor of Commerce (Professional Accounting) at Macquarie University whilst also somehow managing to find time to play football and coach junior football teams!

Matt is an intern accountant, and finds learning the basics helpful as he works whilst studying for a Bachelor of Business. When not studying, Matt loves playing video games. We are delighted to have Matt working with us.
