We are committed to treating the personal information we collect in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act).

    In general, we will collect your personal information directly from yourself, for example, when we deal with you in person or over the phone, through correspondence (including email and hard copy correspondence), completion of surveys, questionnaires, forms, subscribing to our mail list, or in relation to employment.Sometimes we collect your personal information from external sources. These may include mailing lists, and other public information and social media sites (for example LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) as well as commercially available information. This may include collecting your personal information from your employer where they are our client, your referees, personal representatives, or banks and financial institutions where you have authorised disclosure of information to us.We may also collect personal information about you from your use of our websites, social media and other information you provide through contact mailboxes.We will not collect personal information by unlawful means or means which are unreasonable or intrude unreasonably into your personal affairs.

    We hold personal information in both hard copy and electronic formats. We also engage third parties to host electronic data (in relation to the services we provide) on our behalf. We take physical security measures to protect that personal information as well technological controls (for example, firewalls, passwords, digital certificates, encryption, restricted access).We also have policies and processes which govern documentation and data breach incidents. We make every endeavour to ensure personal information is kept as up to date as possible and any irrelevant or excessive data is deleted or made anonymous as soon as reasonably practicable.  Some personal information may be retained for varying time periods to comply with legal and regulatory obligations and other legitimate business reasons.

        CHAMP may use non-personal, de-identified and aggregated information for purposes including data analytics, research, submissions, thought leadership and promotional purposes.We may use your personal information for the purpose of marketing our services, products and offers to you.     We do not disclose personal information to third parties for the purpose of allowing them to send marketing or other material to you.

    6.1 Social media applications and widgets

    Some of our websites include functionality enabling the sharing of information sharing via third party social media platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter buttons. These applications may collect and use information regarding your use of our websites. Any personal information that you provide via such social media platforms may be collected and used by the members of that social media application separate to us and are subject to those company’s privacy policies. We do not have control over, or responsibility for those companies or their use of your information.

  7. Children

    Our websites are not intentionally designed for or directed at children under 13 years. It is our policy to not knowingly collect or maintain information about any child under 13 years, except as part of a specific engagement to provide services which necessitates such personal information be collected, for the purposes of ensuring compliance with our legislative requirements or as otherwise required by law.
